MEDICAL SERVICES
In addition to the services provided by our own visiting physicians staff, patients will receive regular visits by the orthopaedic medical staff from their referring hospital.
NURSING CARE
Qualified nurses provide 24-hour cover and use their special skills and experience to actively aid recovery and encourage patients to return to full independent living.
PHYSIOTHERAPY
In the rehabilitation of orthopaedic patients, physiotherapy plays a vital role and at Clontarf there is an emphasis on mobilisation and exercise. The physiotherapy department has the most up-to-date equipment and patients undergo physiotherapy treatment either in the gymnasium or on the ward.
OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY
Occupational therapy service is available for in-patients when required.
RADIOLOGY
The x-ray department is based in the out-patient department and offers a standard x-ray service for both
in-patients and out-patients under the supervision of a radiologist and senior radiographer.
SOCIAL WORK SERVICES
The hospital's social workers offer assistance with personal and practical issues to patients and their families.
CHIROPODY
A chiropodist is available on request.
